helle everybody, i'm new here but i've been using xbmc for along time. i came up with a (i think) good idea. why not add a daap server feature? that way you can save all you music on your xbox, and access it from any other pc/xbox in your home.

daap client in xbmc support is still not great for very large library's. but if you use xbmc as a server (your music is on there anyways) you can easily access it from itunes on your pc.

if that where to happen it would also be easy to have a feature to scan a standard media dir (ex. e:\music) for new files to add to your xbmc library

so what do you guys think??

hey there i am student and owner of an ibook, this travels to college with me everyday, however due to the nature of my studies 80gb internal hdd is just not enough.

there is another ibook inuse in the home, my brothers aswell as two more pc's.

i have a great idea, we're all pushed for space holding videos and thousands of mp3's, so what a great idea it would be to pop in a decent hdd in my xbox, and then have it acting as a media center when need be, but having it serve another purpose, a network storage hub. if we could all pop our mp3s and videos onto the xbox hdd, have them shared over the wireless we would all save so much space on our own computers, and furthermore we could all share music.

however, im just not sure if itunes would allow us to stream from xbmc?

does xbmc allow itunes to stream from it?

please, any help would be appreciated.
