Record button greyed out

my record button is greyed out in 6/5/05 build. when i was using 5/30/05 build it was available and i recorded a few cd's. my question is why is it greyed out and what can i do to enable it?

eh,

the record button has nothing to do with ripping a cd, it is there to dump shoutcast streams.. so it won't be enabled unless you're actually playing a shoutcast stream..
