i'd like to request xbmc save what video mode a movie is set to, what audio track it last used, and whether subtitles were on or not, which of the video settings were set (deinterlacer on, post processing settings, etc) so that the next time it's played, it'll reuse those settings rather than a single global setting. not all video files look good with a single global setting, and having to modify them every time for different files that need them set to a particular setting is a real pain. if nothing else, please remember per movie the video mode (original, normal, 16:9, etc.).

maybe these settings can be saved in individual files where the video files are, rather than in the database, and named and loaded like subtitle files are. that way, they can be hand modified, or carried over when xbmc changes versions. or deleted easily if we want to use the default global settings.

thanks.

the settings are already saved per file in the database. why do you want to hand modify them? it took a lot of work to build the gui.

** edit **
any "advanced" user can still hand modify them. just copy the video database over to your computer and open it. there are a few tools you can use to open a sql lite db.
