i would like xbmc to have the option to sort bands like "the beatles" as "beatles, the".

well it sorts with the info it gets from the id3 tags. whow should it now where to split the artist name and where not?

i simply renamed my tags for bands that have "the" at the beginning, it took about 2 minutes using dr tag. the other benefit is that they then work this way in all my mp3 players, both software and hardware.

we're not adding support for user specific processes.
many ppl didnt rename their tags as you did and would see
strange things if we added this
