i have mythtv 0.17 running on a backend gentoo machine.
everything seems to works ok. scheduling recordings etc.

when i use the xbmcmythtv scripts on the xbox i get an error.
i am trying to access recorded files on the mythbackend.
"unable to access preview pic" (or something like that)
and when i get to the screen thats supposed to have the recorded show data and click on "play" i get : "unable to find <myshow name> on <servername>"

now i went to look at the mythbackend log and guess what? the .nuv that the xbmcmythtv is looking for doesn't match the name of the file in the servers directory! so of course it can't find it!

is xbmc interpreting the database incorrectly?

i thought i saw a post someplace about this sort of error, but i can't recall where i saw it.

also, obviously xbox is able to access the database because i am getting listings etc. from the database to show up in the xbmcmythtv scripts.

any help or anyone getting the same errors?
thanks

ok, so where is it moving to.
i did a search for my username, but nothing came up.
it is python related!

try searching for that filename in the .py file and update it to the other one. please take the time to read the forum descriptions next time. there are two python forums, a dev forum and a support forum.

you may have some bad data in your myth database. have you tried using the myth frontend on your pc to watch the show? how do you know that the filename is incorrect? have you verified that the data in the myth database matches the files on the filesystem? if the database is out of sync with the filenames on the filesystem, then the xbmcmythtv scripts will not know any better...

btw, the long running thread for xbmcmythtv stuff is here (http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.pl?act=st;f=21;t=2676;st=360). i very rarely have the time to read other posts... so i missed this completely until today.
