hi,
i am soon moving into a nice new apartment and rather than laying cable all over the place, i am interested in setting up a wireless network. there are a couple of things that i don't really understand.
at the moment, i have everything connected together with network cable. i had assumed that i could just replace the cables with wireless adapter or something at each end and it would work.
however, i have been looking on the net at wireless setup guides etc... and they all say i need a wireless router.
i don't have a router for my wired network, so do i really need one for a wireless network?
my current setup is like this:
adsl modem connected to a desktop pc with 2nics. the other nic is connected to a hub and my xbox and laptop go into that.
not being an expert on any of this, i could really use my advice! i want to replace as much of it as possible with wireless, without spendig a huge amount of money.
thanks in advance!
