i placed it into the python and the scripts folders after extracting but now what?

did you put the dilbert.py file in q:\scripts\ and the contents of the cache folder in the cache folder? or did you just pu the whole folder in?(ignore this and follow below)

just bung the whole folder in and dont move the cache files

1. after unpacking dilbert0-1a.zip
# 2. files will be:
# \dilbert\dilbert.py
# \dilbert\cache\feedparser.py
# \dilbert\cache\background.jpg
# 3. login to xbox
# 5. copy files to e:\apps\xbmc\scripts\dilbert
# 6. go to the scripts section of xbmc
# 7. locate and enter dilbert folder under the folder tree on right hand side of screen
# 8. start dilbert by clicking on dilbert.py
# 9. for faster access to the script why not add it to the dialogsubmenu.xml menu?

when i click it nothing happens; ( it says (running) for a brief momeny


btw does xbmc have to be in e?

xbmc does not have to be in e. make sure your settings : network is set to dhcp

e:\ is the directory that the script asks to install in. *btw, how old is your xbmc build? this was written for *2005-02-21 build so it needs to be at least this version or later (2005-03-26) has just been released.

i just tried out this script and it doesnt work no matter where you put it :/

i have it sitting in %home%/scripts/dilbert and the cache/ under the dilbert folder, and i get nothing when i run the scripts.

logcheck time...
