List music by ID3 tag, NOT filename

i'd like to see the ability to view music by id3 tag info.

that would serve a few purposes. first, it would allow overcoming the 42 character file limit which is causing all of us to mangle our song titles and artist names. second, it would hide the unnecessary filename extension and provide a cleaner presentation.

uhm, this is allready implemented.

tried the scan button?
it will scan all your mp3 files for the tags and insert the tags in a local database. this way you can view music by artist, album etc.
you can also then turn off the use id3tag in settings. then xbmc will still use the local databse for all info and be lightning fast cause it doesn't have to load the tag via the shares anymore.
