Easiest way to upgrade xbmc?

hi!

easiest way to upgrade would probably be to replace all files except xboxmediacenter.xml to keep all settings and be up and running in no time. but i don't want to miss out on features etc. i wonder how often the contents of the settings file, xboxmediacenter.xml, usually is updated between builds?

or is their any smarter way?

would definately be good to know there is an easy way. i currently recreate my xml file each time i upgrade!!

with respect, i think you may have misunderstood the q?

we would like to know if there is an easy upgrade path for each version without deleting the old, copying the new and reconfiguring the xml.
