View Full Version : Xbmc only plays some mp3.
my xbmc will only play some of my mp3. one thing i do notice is that it won't play the ones that show file size (8,3mb) in the very right column when the ones that do play show song length in that column (4:23). everything else works great. just some of these mp3 wont play on xbmc. they will play on my computer etc. i searched the boards and didn't see anyone else with this problem.

they don't have the necessary permissions. correct this on your computer.
permissions are the same for all songs. to double check i redid them all. still the same problem. one thing i also notice in xbmc the songs that don't play have the mp3 file extension at the end of the song name. the other ones are hidden.

i'm having the same problem. it's not a permissions issue. i've also noticed this with certain mpegs as well that will play on the pc but not xbmc. here is the data from my log about the mp3's not playing:

is there anyone else out there that is having this problem?
you really sure permissions are same. sometimes when a file is copied into a location it doesn't inherit properly from the folder. you checked those files specifically? and if you did, please check once more.
