"- to give a folder a thumbnail, you can now place a folder.jpg in the folder"

i am very excited about this new feature, thank you for implementing this, you rock!

i pulled down and compliled the latest anon cvs this morning after reading this. i tried with both folders on the local xbox drive as well as smb shares containing the file named folder.jpg, but it only showed the default folder/album art. so it doesn't appear to work for me yet, but i presume it may just be that cvs is behind.

again, i am very excited to get this working, thanks

i did notice that my bugs.txt was updated to a time stamp of 1/22, and contains the list of additions made for the 21st.

i took a look and it appears that the folder.jpg is indeed used as the folder icon when in icon view in my music. this is very very cool. i did notice that if there is a folder.jpg file that is not same x and y dimensions, it appears to shrink and then disappear on the screen.

i am hoping that this folder.jpg can also be used as the album art for the music overlay. that way it can be seen down in the corner when a track is playing as well as when the visulization is on.

i second this idea, i have folder.jpg images for my whole mp3 collection so that would be very cool.

i third the idea.

all my albums on the pc have the folder art stored as folder.jpg so when i view them as icons i can see the album art in windows explorer, this would be a cool feature for xbmc.

keep up the good work guys i love xbmc it as almost convinced me to buy another xbox.

would the .tbn thumb nail also be supported?

i have a whole bunch of divx dvd-rs that use the tbn scheme.

i.e. movie name.avi and movie name.tbn

tbn support is in the "features we wanna implement" pinned at the top of this forum, so it is only a matter of time.
