A question about streaming radio

there are a lot of local stations in my area that having audio streams via the internet(real player streams) that i listen to a lot. is there a way to get this over to my xbox. i don't know much about the background of streaming audio or how you got launchcast working, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

to get your favorite radio, you just have to create a txt file named as for example : myradio.strm
then past in this file the url of your stream
upload the file on your xbmc hard drive
then play this .strm file from you audio section (video section if the url in the .strm file is a video link)
